An approach to chronic mucosal airway infections, recurrent pneumonia and  thymic insufficiency.

Who should attend?

This workshop is intended for any clinician who manages patients with airway or lung disease, as well as pathologists with an interest in immunopathology and immune-mediated respiratory conditions.

What delegates will benefit by attending?

The airways and lungs are critical immune organs.
This case-based workshop will explore the immunology of the respiratory tract through clinical cases involving patients with chronic, recurrent, persistent, or unusual respiratory infections. Each case will serve to illustrate key immunological principles, appropriate laboratory investigations, and evidence-based management strategies. The workshop aims to highlight the importance of improved immunological diagnostics and tailored management approaches in respiratory medicine.

Take home message:

Medicine has entered an era where diagnosis is increasingly guided by immune-based insights and treatment is shaped by immunologically targeted therapies. Delegates will leave this workshop with a renewed perspective on respiratory disease—one that integrates immunological mechanisms into everyday clinical thinking.
