Michelle Wong is the Clinical Head of the Division of Pulmonology and Consultant in General Medicine at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. Her particular interest is in the interstitial lung diseases, but she finds most topics in Pulmonology interesting and enjoys encounters with clinically challenging cases. She has been involved in drawing up guidelines for asthma, COPD and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. She is the Honorary Secretary for the South African Thoracic Society and has convened the Cert Pulm(SA) Phys examination from 2019 to 2022.
