Dr Gissing graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 2013 and completed her Community Service year at the Natalspruit Hospital in Alberton. Following Community Service, she started working in private practice in Pretoria at the Wilgers Hospital in the Cardiothoracic unit.

In 2016 she started working at the Netcare Milpark Hospital in the cardiothoracic and transplant unit, completing a master’s degree in Physiotherapy.

In 2022 she opened her own practice where I have become mainly involved in treatment and rehabilitation of acute and chronic respiratory conditions. I am actively involved in the Milpark lung transplant and pulmonary hypertension team for which we offer rehabilitation on various clinical phases.
